Michael K. Hoverson has over 35 years experience representing student loan borrowers to provide comprehensive assistance in all the new and complicated administrative remedies available to FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN BORROWERS; and, for PRIVATE STUDENT LOAN BORROWERS he defends lawsuits against the borrower, sues private lenders in bankruptcy court to discharge “non-qualified” student loans, and finds any available remedy to lessen the burden on the borrower.
Mr. Hoverson graduated from the University of North Dakota with a B.A., Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his J.D., with Distinction, in 1986 from the University of North Dakota School of Law and graduated in the top twenty percent of his class.
He has taught bankruptcy law and debtor/creditor law at Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota. He has also volunteered as a Minneapolis personal bankruptcy lawyer through Volunteer Lawyers Network in Hennepin County, Minnesota, for the past 35 years.
